Default 2012 TXT48 Speed Questions

Hello All,

I have a 2012 TXT48. By phone gps I get about 19mph.

I’d like to get to about 25-30. I’ve done a lot of reading on here, but wanted to confirm my thoughts.

Current plan:
2g wires set.
Higher amp solenoid
Alltrax 500amp controller ( in case I upgrade motor ).

Most places say the alltrax will get 22-24. Am really looking at a 3mph increase?

To get up to 30 I assume I’ll need to do a motor upgrade. Any recommendations?

My cart is stock height with 18.5” tires.

I’ve looked at the Navitas AC motors and that looks pretty slick but is $$&

Any recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks

The stock motor in this cart produces more torque than most factory cart motors. So if you put on the Alltrax 500 and some 23" tires the cart will reach 25-28 mph depending upon a lot of variables like tire type, size, and air pressure... not to mention battery condition and load etc.

Awesome that good info, so I’m heading the right direction.

Is the FN2 a must have? Seems like a handy feature to have.

If I go to 23”, I would need a lift I assume?

Thanks again

23s will definitely need a lift kit. They are 5 inches taller than stock.

No FN device is a must have just to run... but the FN2 is my favorite FN device. I like the control it gives for various driving situations.

If you have the budget go to the Navitas 5kw AC conversion. Easy 30+, and easy install on the TXT48. I get road rage at some cars driving too slow lol. I haven't done an official MPH test yet but with batteries not broken in and some gear with 2 people we hit 33mph.

Yeah it can be a little scary lol. Once these tires are up I will go to street tires and remove the lift.

What size tires do you have? Did you change any settings in the app?
