Default RXV - RoyPow - 2 SOC Meters

Hello from Arizona. First time posting. I am going to install a RoyPow 48V/105AH battery in a 2014 EZGO RXV next weekend. I was wondering if, in addition to the supplied meter, can I install one that provides a little more information, like the one supplied by Extreme Team Carts, that uses a shunt. Would they conflict in any way? Thanks, advance!

Welcome, I too have the supplied meter and it seems to work well. Beeps when it gets down to 2 bars. You got about 2 miles worth to get back to charger.

Yes, you can add in on-board computers. The shunt is external to the battery and goes between the battery negative and anything downstream. So it does not need (and cannot) interface with a battery BMS, they are independent of each other.

I installed a Renogy 500amp unit and it has worked great so far. The information appears amazingly accurate.
