Newer motor in older cart , clutch hitting
Installed a newer motor with comet clutch every thing seemed to line up until I got it going and comet clutch contacted secondary clutch after I got up to a certain speed .

Your motor is rotating the primary clutch into the secondary. Replacing the motor mounts might take care of things. To be honest, though, I simply remove the driver's side motor mounts altogether which will stop the rotation. Leave the passenger side ones, though. It'll drive fine like that.
