I just posted a thread asking about controller diagnosing for 2010+ txt48 systems

This might help with that.

Thanks for posting!!!

Personality select? Interesting... Similar to a 1268 except looks like 3 modes.

Four actually. I've done some playing with this feature awhile back. Its a bit unusual, the switches provide 4 possible states but there are 5 operating modes available in this controller. What I've found is that with both switches floating the controller takes on whatever mode is set by the handset under the mode select/personality select (1~5). Then each combination of switches changes it to an associated mode 1~4 even if it will be a duplicate of your active mode.

For example if you set personality to 3 with the handset then setting switches results in:
0,0 - Mode 3
0,1 - Mode 2
1,0 - Mode 3
1,1 - Mode 4
Not sure if those are the exact input results but its something like that.

If I recall correctly mode 1 (airport) is not included in the switch input combos. And mode 5 (freedom) is defiantly not included.

What is KSI?
I assume the green and orange wires are coming from the F/R switch?

So I guess you could use it to set a sort of high low speed configuration without needing the hand held.. Airport mode for the kidos and wide open for dad !! Wonder how it would behave if it was set at mode 5 to start with..

No combination of switches will set airport or freedom, so if you wish to include on of those in your personality change it has to be the 'default' set by the handset. However, some of the max speed values can be adjusted for the 3 golf modes so you could put freedom on default then lower the speed if needed on one of the switchable modes.

The 16 pin (2 Row X connector for these carts is Molex Part Number 39-01-2160, Digi-Key Part Number WM3707-ND

https://www.digikey.com/products/en?keywords=WM3707-ND

I'm making up a programming harness to support benchtop programming of the Curtis 1206HB-5201 controller used in the later TXT48 carts.

That works good, thank you. I still needed the run/tow switch circuit switchable to access certain advanced features.
