My G1 wont engage the drive axle
Background added a Plowmans clutch kit to my G1 new sheaves new helix's and after getting the right belt (the first one was incorrect too large) I now go to crank it over and the drive belt is not being engaged...the strater motor reuns and revs but does not power the belt to the drive axle....Stumped and confused....anyone have any ideas?

Re: My G1 wont engage the drive axle
Is the engine running? If the engine is running and the belt doesn't move, then the primary clutch isn't working correctly and may even be stripped out on the shaft. If the primary clutch is spinning with the engine but it doesn't engage and move the belt, then there is an internal problem with the primary clutch. It might be time to remove the primary clutch and check it out.
