Default Can anyone ID this converter?

Mainly the amperage and which wire is the switch wire. I'm rewiring my cart and there was no fuses.

It was wired to the full 48v pack voltage. Yellow to -, white & blue to + direct to batteries.

This on a 2003 DS if that helps. It has a street legal light kit (Headlights, running lights, and turn/stop lights.

That looks like the DS model 48v->12v converter, (30A), but I never saw it with all the wires coming out the same side. May have been added on after the fact.

If you remove it, the nomenclature may be on the blind side.

I guess I could try that and see. There is a tag on top but is unreadable, can't make anything out on it. It's a good possibility the lights were added later as the wiring harness was a mess with 27 scotch lock connectors in it. Although I believe it has factory lights assemblies.

Here is one https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/p...-precedent-30a that I see on David's sight that connected thru the lighting harness..... Still different from yours though.

It's an OEM 48 Volt to 12 Volt reducer.

Wiring is as follows...

INPUT:
Yellow - 48V Negative
Blue - 48V Positive
White - Switch 48V Positive from key switch

OUTPUT:
Red - 12V Positive Output
Black - 12V Negative Output

The BLUE Wire should be fused. Use a 20 amp fuse.

If this reducer does not work, the RHOX VOLT-2002 Reducer is Identical to it and will serve as an exact replacement. It's much like the VOLT-2003 that NoleFan mentioned above, except the VOLT-2002 is not for a Precedent. It's exactly like the one in your photo, with 5 wires. It will mount to the factory location in either a DS or a Precedent. These are the only two reducers I use on my builds.
