Default Very slow speed after installing Mcore assembly

I installed the go/stop peddle assembly and Mcore (#1) on a untested, "hasn't run in years" 93 DS. The internal Mcore switch activates the solenoid and the cart moves forward but only what I can call the slowest speed. Giving it more peddle is like turning off the key, let off and gently give it throttle puts it back to walking speed. Identical situation in reverse. Battery pack is good, and is not wired for the half (?) speed reverse. The only other micro switch (other than the one in the Mcore) in the system is on the F/R switch. Motor was untested.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Brian

Sounds like a 5k-0 signal into a 0-5k controller...

Are there mcor units that are 5k-0?

MCOR is 5000-0 aka 5k-0
The 93 CC was 0-5k
If you have an Alltrax control simply select the correct signal from the throttle menu
