Default 2022 Onward Brake lights stay on

Hi Everyone,

I noticed this weekend while using the cart that my brake lights were staying on intermittently. Regardless of if the brake is pushed, in park, or no brake applied at all. I tried tapping the brakes with various pressures to see if maybe the pedal was sticking, but no change.

Has anyone had something similar happen? It doesn't always happen, some days it is completely fine and comes on only when braking or light switch is on.

Any recommendations on where to start with troubleshooting this?

(Cart is a 2022 Onward HP 48V)

Not 100% but I think these have some form of a pressure switch that activates the brake light portion of the rear lights I would check around the pedal for that. Possible the switch is sticky and needs to be cleaned/replaced.

The brake lights are controlled by the VCM (computer), not directly wired to the pedal. So need to check the pedal switch is functional, and the output from the VCM to the tail lights is good. It could be moisture on some exposed wire since it's intermittent.
