Default Anything safer than the zip tie trick?

I just picked up a 2000 Club Car DS to replace my 1997 DS sparky & reading the threads I see the sticky on how to speed up your CC. I'm not real comfortable with using zip ties on my spring. Is there a better way? Do they sell an aftermarket spring possibly that is a little more permanent repair? The zip ties just seem like a band aid to me. Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

Zipties are pretty permanent. Its about the only way to do it. I haven't seen any type of adjustable cable like EZGOS have for a club car.

Not really...unless zip ties in Texas are more expensive than they are in Ohio or New Hampshire.

Pretty sure I have other issues. I adjusted the throttle rod as far as it would go without being wobbly & every time I squeeze the spring the engine doesn't die, it just surges?
