Default Removing Windshield?

I'm in Texas and wondering if it is ok to remove the windshield/top and remain street legal? Do LSVs have to have an inpection sticker?

Not sure about your inspection sticker but windshields are required.
Here is an except from the NHTSA:
Quote:
As low-speed vehicles, these 20 to 25 mile-per-hour vehicles are subject to a new Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 500 (49 CFR 571.500) established by this final rule. The agency notes that the growing on-road use of golf cars has already resulted in some deaths and serious injuries, and believes that the new standard is needed to address the effects in crashes of the higher speed of low-speed vehicles. The standard requires low-speed vehicles to be equipped with headlamps, stop lamps, turn signal lamps, taillamps, reflex reflectors, parking brakes, rearview mirrors, windshields, seat belts, and vehicle identification numbers.

Yeah, those 18 wheelers passing by will throw some road rock up in your face at those high speeds.

LSV's are to have an AS5/Lexan windshield which can be full, folding, or half... but it must have a windshield. Mine was approved with a folding AS5 windshield, (click on link in my sig for picture, purchased from CPP.) Some carts have low profile windshields which is like a folding windshield in the down position. Your still legal with it.

I will add this, I have talked with several of the local law enforcement guys around here and they all say it is needed, even though it does not specifically state it in the HB.
