Cart will not charge. Replaced OBC and still will not charge. Voltage at charging receptacle is 37 volts and if you check voltage to main negative it is 48. Why is it loosing the negative at the charging receptical?

Go to STICKIES and look under post "Complete Manual For Power Drive Charger" as it gives you full test procedures.

Re: 03 ds
It's not losing negative.... it's only a partial negative because the OBC is in the way.... You won't see full negative voltage at the receptacle until the OBC turns the charger on.... and if this isn't happening, either a bad charger relay or the OBC is probably the culprit. Yes, I know it's new... but I've seen it before.... Have you had your charger checked out?

Reed wire bad in receptical. Charger will come on nut gets warm very quickly. Put another charger on the cart and it gets warm too.

Re: 03 ds
36-37 volts is where the OBC tells the charger not to come on.
This is to protest the cart if it has additional problems. Use a seperate charger to get the pack up to 40 Volts or so and see if charger comes on then ! |
