Re: club car wont go
It sounds like a low battery... throw a charger on it over night, and see if that helps!

Re: club car wont go
Wait a minute, is the cart gas or electric? Sounds like electric judging by the fact that you mention it has numerous solenoids.

Re: club car wont go
I would check the main contactor (solenoid) and main resistor coil. Chances are the motor is good, they don't usually just quite. A solenoid can click and still be bad. Solenoids are switches so one that clicks should read <1 ohm across the big lugs. Ohm meters do not like to check voltage so you would need to disconnect one battery cable to avoid damage to the meter. If this checks out then it might be a controller, do the cheap test first.

Re: club car wont go
Merry Xmas All!!
We seem to be having the exact same problem with our 2003 Club Car. Fully charged, all brand new batteries but won't go.. No clicking, no sounds at all. Can anyone tell me how to "access the micro switch attached to the gas pedal inside a box that controls the main solonoid" that was referred to in this past post? THANK YOU!!!!! |

Re: club car wont go
a 2003 club car's electrical is going to be quite a bit different from a 1987's .....
does your car bump just a little when you try to go then stop? |
