Default Hydraulic brakes for precedent with 6’’ a arm lift

Thinking of doing the switch to disk brakes in the front can anyone tell me what kit to buy. Is it a all day project or a couple hour project. It seems that most Jakes kits are for spindle lifts. My cart is a 2014 cc precedent with a 6’’ double A arm lift.

You need to get the Jakes kit for the Jakes A Arm lift, and hopefully the spindles bolt up easily to the lift you have.

It’s a couple hour project. Not overly hard, just time consuming.

Which lift kit do you have on your cart now? If you have a Jakes lift you have a slim chance of getting it done. Anything else forget about it.

When I installed my disc brakes on my unlifted Precedent I was told that if I ever decided to lift my cart that I could get Spindles to work with a a lifted cart and keep the disc brakes. So the time comes when I want a lifted cart and find that option is no longer available. The dealer in Jacksonville and Jakes were very uncooperative with email and phone calls. So because my frontend geometry was so out of line I opted to remove the disc brakes. I went with the AllSport because Jakes wasn't getting any more of my money. Good luck finding disc brake for your cart.

I have a Jake's 6" A Arm lift and just installed the Jake's disc brake kit. They make a specific kit for that. Instructions were lacking detail and it's time consuming but easy... I just cant get the d@@m things bled/adjusted right

You are dealing with a very small volume of brake fluid. Very hard to pump up and blead. Get a good pump oil can, clean it good put brake fluid in it. Platistc tube on end of oil spout other end on wheel bleader valve open master cylinder cap. Pump brake fluid back to master cylinder. When bubbles stop close bleader valve, repeat for other wheel.

How long ago was that? According to them they don't do that anymore.
