Default Front Disc Brakes - Jakes Axle Lift

Hello!

I currently have a 2002 EZGO TXT with a Jake's 5" Axle Lift. I'm currently in the market to purchase and install Jakes front disc brake kit on my cart. Here are the options for the brake kit that they offer:

Front Discs w/Spindle Lift Kit
Front Discs w/Long Travel Lift Kit
Front Discs w/Non-Lifted Cart

As you can see, they don't list an option for the Axle Lift (what I currently have).

Does anyone know or have they researched if any of their disc brake kits will fit a axle lift kit? Was asking on here before I call Jake's directly and ask. Alternatively, maybe someone is aware of another front disc brake kit that would fit my application.

Thanks!

-Jason

Do you mean a Z lift ?
If so the non lift spindles are most likely what you need.

If by "Z" lift you're referring to this picture, then yes, this is my specific lift:

Not sure if the non-spindle lift would fit my application or not.

Sorry I had a brain fart, thought you had a club car.
But if the axle lift re used the stock spindles you should just need the stock height spindle kit.
You might need to make longer brake hoses. Which you can get the kits at any mountain bike shop.

I would contact Jake's directly to get a clear answer if I were you. Good luck!

Thanks for that bit of info!

I did reach out to them last week via email. Unfortunately, they never replied. I may need to call them directly.

The LT kit should come with standard spindles and longer brake lines.

Thanks everyone for their input. Much appreciated as always.

Coincidentally yesterday, Jakes replied to my email from last week. Their sales department confirmed with me that as long as you're using their axle lift kit (which I am), the brake kit meant for the NON-LIFTED carts would fit my application. They also confirmed that all brake lines have more than enough length on my lifted cart.

I wanted to update this thread in case anyone in the future has the same questions.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Thanks for answering that Jason. I'm glad it worked out for you.

So many threads end without an answer, so I'm glad you returned to answer this for future searches. When I started out you wouldn't believe how many threads I found with the same questions I had, but no answers.

I agree. I'm a moderator on an automotive forum, and that's something that I try and push when a question gets asked by a user. It's always good to have an answer for the next person, instead of creating multiple threads that already exist for the same subject.
