Fix 4 Slow Clubcars with MCORs
If every thing checks out and you CC is still slow and you've noticed a little play in your accelerator pedal....There is an EASY fix for this.....I will share this if you guys promise not to tell anyone.....OK???
We buy carts from Clubcar and most all of them are "Off Lease" which means they have had the snot beat out of them. My fix if I can't get full 100% throttle but my park brake still works fine, is to look down the back of the accelerator pedal...like you are looking into the floorboard....you should be able to see where the shaft from the MCOR meets the ACC. pedal. There is a little "Nub" or aluminum piece you can loop a zip tie and slide around the Nub. Pull it tight and cut off the eccess. This will take up just enough slack to give you most if not all of the throttle signal back. This will not fix the loose play in the pedal. But its easier than replacing parts. sssshhhh.......just don't tell anyone......been doin this since CC started with the MCOR's....not seen it anywhere else...... Ok you BGW vets.....have you heard of this Fix/Band-aid before? Or is this one truly mine?? |

Re: Fix 4 Slow Clubcars with MCORs
Yeah this was discussed a while back but I think its great info to keep fresh as sometimes the info is hard to find on searchs as it gets brought up in a thread of a totally different topic. Your title would help in searching. Another ides that was mentioned was someone was sliding tubing over the worn nub on the shaft to take up the space between the worn nub and the lever it pushes on. My question is does this apply to DS models only or are the Precedents included in this problem as well?

The only thing I am sure of is that I HATE PRECIDENTS! Clubcar also has had their share of problems with the Precident. But they had Sooooo....much $$$$$$ tied up in this cart design that they could not let it go. Smart money would have been on a facelift for the DS.......just my opinion.....and yes mine stinks just like everyone else's |
