Rearend gear oil weight?
What weight gear oil do is recommended to put in the rear end of club car ds? What's the approximate volume that it will hold?
I drained mine a few months ago when I tore my cart down and began rebuilding it. I'm getting closer to getting it running and I don't want to forget to fill 'er up!!! Thanks for your help!!!! |

Re: Rearend gear oil weight?
I used 70W gear oil . its 30w if you look at the manual but I didn't find any at the parts store when I needed it . I forget how much it took , I just waited for it to come out the bolt max fill hole .

Re: Rearend gear oil weight?
The best thing about using gear oil is the container it comes in. Its got a pointy end that fits into the fill hole. No more need for a funnel and fumbling around and spilling it all over the place to refill it. Just did mine today.

Those containers work great for chain saw bar oil too.

They sure do tag. I'll have to save mine. I ended up with 70w-90.

Check your area Walmarts, they have deals all them time. I just bought this a couple weeks ago for only $.88 a quart. I bought the last 2 they had.

Wow. That's a deal Ron. I think I ended up with about a $5 or 6 quart. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive.

If you remember when you filled it, did you have the buggy upright and you filled from underneath, or did you have it some other way (on its side or did you have the rear off completely)? |
