Re: steering loose
You tighten the steering by tightening the little screw on the steering box. The steering box may need to be greased as well. You can remove the adjusting screw by loosing and removing the 10mm nut the screw is mounted in. Also, make sure your king pins are not where the noise is coming from. They may need greasing or replacing.

Re: steering loose
If you just adjust it, don't over tighten. Tighten a little and try it out.

Re: steering loose
That sounds right but I usually just eyeball it and leave it. Tightening the strew on the steering box will take out some of the play unless your steering is really worn.

Re: steering loose
If the box is really worn, do check it from full right lock to left lock after adjusting it.
Most of the wear will be in the straight running position and if you adjust it ALL out then it might bind when turning right or left when it gets to the less worn area. I even took the plate off that the adjusting screw is in and cleaned the old grease out, added new grease and 3 or 4oz of 140 gear oil. |

Re: steering loose
As Of Right Now It Turns Very Easy. I Am Going To Tighten Slowly And Go From There. We'll See How It Goes.
