Default Dimming Headlights

I have an 2009 Yamaha Drive Golf cart with stock lights, new battery. Generator puts out 14 volts when revving up the motor. The problem its has is when the cart slows down and i press on the brake pedal the lights get very dim. Not sure what what to do or where the problem is. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It could be a weak ground connection.

The lights dimming when engine not running is normal (try the same experiment with your car). Check how low the voltage is when the lights are on, engine off.

Disconnect the feed to the brake light bulbs and check if it still does it.

Restore the wires to the taillights, and remove the bulbs. Repeat the test.

Taillights are a sealed unit, all i can do is unplug them and then all the other lights don't dim
