Default club car solenoid clicks but won't go!

I have a 2003 club car that won't go. When I depress the accelerator I hear the solenoid click but the motor won't turn. I checked voltage from solenoid to the electronic controller and from controller to motor and both gave full battery voltage. Is it possible that the on-board computer has a fault? Is there a potentiometer and is it located within the accelerator lever under the cart? any advise would be helpful...Thanks Craig

If you are getting power to the motor terminals, but it isn't turning, I would say the motor is bad or it may just need a new set of brushes.

If the solenoid clicks the on board comp. is not your problem.

What is the serial number of your car?

I just took a motor(A) that I know works and connected the wires from the cart mounted motor(B) to the Motor(A) and it wouldn't turn either. Does the solenoid resistor (reading 224 ohms) need to be 250 ohms as stated in the manual?

Are you getting voltage to the controller side of the solenoid, with the keyswitch on the car and forward and the pedal depressed?

It will show voltage with nothing engaged that is the precharge resistor charging the capacitor.

To answer the earlier question: The potentiometer is located on the passenger side under the car... (black box)

Thanks phasetim for responding with very helpful ideas, but I found the problem. The yellow wire from the potentiometer attached to the #3 post on the electronic controller was loose. I tighten the female end so it fit better on the post & it solved the problem. I guess I should check connections before proceeding to more complicated things; however, the good thing is I now have someone to help me with cart problems. Thanks again for your help!!

Oh and Rusty thanks for the welcome, its good to have a site like this with great people.
