Default 2013 RXV Motor brake

After it locked up, did all the troubleshooting and suggestions from here. I was able to finally get the brake off this week and it was rusted and frozen. I did manage to find the pricey but sealed one 617766 and ordered that.
So how do i clean up the motor side , it there a gasket or anything on the new one to prevent water intrusion between the new brake and the motor? Green scrub pad and what kind of solvent? Hopefully my pictures came out ok.
Thanks Tom

There no gasket and you can use a wire brush to clean it up to. Your probably would be better to replace your bolts also.

I would put the old bolts in the holes just to plug them, spray down that plate and get after it with a wire brush. Doesn’t have to be pretty. When you get the new brake align it to the spindle coming out of the motor and roll the cart until the bolt holes line up and the plug is in the correct place. New stainless bolts and only tighten until the lock washer crushes. Like a quarter turn once the head hits the washer.

All clean and the new motor brake is in. I dont understand why i had to pay all that extra money for the HD brake ,if the engineers would have done there job and put the gasket on the face of the brake to begin with. But all bolted up and works. Just have to change add the differential fluid and take it out for a drive. Hopefully a tune on the Curtis from BobBoyce and the cart will be good to go. Thanks for all your help.
