That is what I have and recommended. Add the HD F&R for $718. I'd seriously consider a digital volt meter now, or when you can afford it, if $718 hasn't busted the bank yet.

It absolutely can be addictive! I'm in the process of building a hunting buggy as well. I'll look forward to seeing your build!

Did you replace all the cables or just the battery cables? A series cart needs to have all 13 cables upgraded.

Yes, the reversing contactor would be the best way to go.

Just make sure the coils will work, or can be changed if you go from 36 volts now to 48 volts down the road, if that's what you need. You may be happy at 36.

Nah, you won't. You "need" 48, Lithium.

This brings me to a question not de-rail your thread, but I have been contemplating putting a fire extinguisher on my cart for many reasons including the OP's fnr fire.

The bug will bite you real good. Your going down the exact same path I did. Mines a 36v, series, lifted, back seat, 2 ga wires, 22" tires, ScottyB's hunting buggy package and I love it. It's no speed demon, but it gets around really well and for what ever reason the batteries last for a really long time (using on a hilly property).

Enjoy your build.

I am sure ScottyB will get you straightened out. He is always here helping people, I can tell he genuinely enjoys helping people upgrade their rigs.

Keep us posted on your build and let us know how it improves the cart.
