Default 2001 cc 48v solid state conversion?

My vglide is trash. What would be involved in converting to solid state? Is it a viable option over replacing this pos vglide?

I'm assuming you have a 36 volt cart right?

No, I have a 48v club car. Guess I need to read up on it. I thought I read somewhere that I should get away from the vglide and go to a on/off throttle.

The Vglide does 2 things
sends a variable resistance signal to the controller to control the speed
(Most are 0 - 5 k ohms, a few models use a 5k to 0 ohms)

& has a micro switch that energizes the solenoid when you press the pedal

The mcor replaces the Vglide , does the same thing. But varies the resistance smoother.
Not sure all that's involved with a swap to the Mcor

What's wrong with your Vglide
may be fixable

I have a 2001 Club Car DS 48v and it's solid state from the factory, not vglide. Wait for TahoeDawgZ71 to respond as he will be able to help you... others maybe guessing. Maybe 36v had vglide and that's why TahoeDawgZ71 asked if you had 36v. I'm betting you have solid state already...
