Default Controller for PQ Bandit in 2004 Precedent?

Which Curtis controller should I get and what solenoid?

I want a 500 amp Curtis controller. Is it the 1268 5501? I see re manufactured ones for sale from fsip with model number 1520 5501. Is this also ok?

I assume I need a 400/1000A solenoid? I have a 200/800A currently. Also do I need to change the diode / resistor?

Thanks

You would need the 1268 conversion Kit. The 1520 is a direct replacement for Club Car IQ Plus heavy duty vehicles. Any heavy duty solenoid would work. The conversion kIt would come with any necessary diodes and resistors for your application.

I would consider waiting for the new alltrax XCT controllers coming out soon. More features and easily programmed. http://www.alltraxinc.com/Products_XCT.html

The 1268 Conversion kit for my Excel cart indeed came with everything needed for the install but for reasons that I do not know it clearly stated to remove the resister from across the heavy solenoid lugs; diode stayed in place but the resister was to be removed....

Teecro is correct. No resistor. Only a diode.
