Default Precedent Light Kit with Led Rocker Switch

Hello,

The Precedent light kit only has two wires that run up to the switch in the dash board. I'd like to convert the pull out style switch to an LED rocker switch but the Led rocker switch has three blades.

Can I simply use the negative side of the voltage meter hook ups to get the rocker switch to light up?

Will the voltage meter still work if the lights are using the ground side?

Thanks

Tom

As long as its the same ground your lights are on. Your meter will still read voltage just fine.

Is there something metal in the dashboard that I can just screw a ground into? Will that work?

Thanks

. . do not ground anything to the frame . . . all grounds must be run back to a negative battery post . . .

Can you provide the reason for that? Why can't I ground to the frame?

Thanks

If you ground to the frame you run the risk of the cart not running properly and possibly frying something like the controller

Okay. Won't be grounding to the frame. Thanks a bunch to all for helping to avoid a disaster.
