Default 2012 Precedent Brake Pulsing

I have a 2012 Club Car Precedent. 48 volt. Standard cart, no lift kit. Started getting a brake pedal pulsing and metallic type rubbing sound to match pulses that got worse with time on right wheel. Replaced brake drums and shoes figuring the drums were out of round. Put brake lube on all contact parts inside drum as needed. That did not help. I've seen threads that said the maybe U bolts loose. Tightened those. Also lubricated brake cables and all other places I can find. Other than replacing the brake cables I'm out of ideas. Any thoughts?

I assume You verified the axle was not rotated before you tightened the axle U-bolts.

Adjust the brake cable play as well, The manual calls for the brake cable equalizer freeplay to be adjusted to 2 inches +- 1/16" .

Also, the shoe marked with an 'L' should be on the rear of the backing plate.

I pulled the brake shoes to look for an L marking. I cannot see one. The shoes are aftermarket from Golf Cart King. I can see the shoes are different at the bottom. One has more steel support frame exposed. Would that indicate which goes to the rear? Cable play seems to be sufficient. I don't know that I can tell if there is an axle twist. When I tightened the U bolts they didn't move much.

The "L" (leading) goes on the back and the "T" (trailing) goes towards the front.

The picture below should help.

As long as the spring seat on the axle was parallel to the ground everything is fine there.

Other folks with more brake experience should provide more ideas.

This may or may not be a major issue. I've used aftermarket brakes that worked fine. But I've used aftermarket brakes that weren't any good at all. Even when installed correctly, they simply don't work correctly. The factory brakes are good every time and they're very reasonably priced.
