Default 2012 Club Car DS 48v auto brake issue

Just purchased a used 2012 club car 48v, 8-6v batteries. It was a golf course food cart previously and I just use it for carrying cargo around the yard once I removed the cooler thing off the back.

My issue is the auto brake. I want to disable it if possible. It makes the cart stop too quick and it also stays engaged when the cart is low on voltage, making it impossible to push. Any pointers in how to disable this is highly appreciated.

That will require a Curtis Hand Held programmer to disable it. You'll have to go by a dealer or cart shop as they will have one.

You also need to put the cart on Tow if You are going to push it.

A 2012 Club Car DS would have the IQ drive system, making it fully compatible with the high speed magnet. It should also have the ADC/AMD motor, making it an easy install. The high speed magnet will completely disable the regen braking, but will retain the rollaway protection.

Ordered a high speed magnet, installed it, cart still auto brakes on its own.

Ok. That's not right. Let's gather some more information. Answer these three questions and it won't be so much of a guessing game.

Where did you buy the magnet? Are you sure it's a high speed magnet?

What's the vehicle serial number for your golf cart?

How fast does your golf cart go? Download a speedometer app on your smartphone and see what your top speed is.
