Default Precedent 3 beeps going forward and stopping

I have an ‘11 precedent and when going forward I get three “reverse” beeps and the cart wants to come to a stop. I was told that it is usually the speed sensor and if I disconnect this it will go away. Ha. No such luck. I’ve recently replaced all the batteries with new Trojan batteries. 48v. And now I have this issue. When traveling sometimes there is a burnt odor coming from the back side behind the batteries I believe this is where the cpu is or some electronics. This area is also very hot to touch.
Please guide me oh wise ones as I am lost and need your guidance!!
Thank you in advance for your help it is appreciated!!

If it did not happen before the batteries were replaced then either something was hooked up incorrectly when the new batteries were refitted or co-incidentally the cart developed another problem at the same time. I would concentrate on the former first to check the obvious.

I assume you have double and triple checked any wiring connections that were changed when the batteries went in? Was any other work done at the same time, or since?

Some photos of the battery bank would be good so that the eagle eyed on here can check the wiring. Also a photo of whichever component is getting very hot would be useful.

Edit: I just realised that your thread count may not be high enough for you to post pictures.

Battery bank is how it should be and the problem arose when we acquired the cart with our camper. The old batteries had a few loose posts so instead of replacing a battery or two I just changed them all figuring that was the issue but it wasn’t the case.
I am going to try and upload the picture let’s see if it works. There is a grey panel on the bottom side in the photo where the run/tow switch is that is where it gets hot.

Check the controller connections. They are loose, or have melted. Seen it before.
