Early 80's Club Car 36 volt motor replacement
Hello,
I was given a cart with a GE electric motor with the model number 5BC48JB691A that is completely shot. I've found another motor locally that is also a GE with the model number 5BC48JB700a, but I'm not sure if that last part of the model number needs to be the same or not to work. Am able to swap these with no issue? Thanks. |

Appears to be an EZGO Marathon motor. Pretty sure the spline count is different between the older EZGOs and the Club Cars

Re: Early 80's Club Car 36 volt motor replacement
Thanks for the info guys, I'm just trying to get this thing up and running by summer so I guess I'll keep searching. Do you know of any replacement motors that would be compatible with the motor in the cart now? I have a feeling this this "free" cart is going to start costing a bunch of money!
