Default Can I convert an Excel to IQ?

I've got an unknown year precedent that has 12volt batteries and a gen1 mocor 2 in it. It had an alltrax controller unknown model that was acting up. I didn't know if it was an IQ or Excel originally but installed a cutris 397 IQ since it was what I had on hand. The cart gives a HPD code and will not move unless you feather the gas just right. The foot pedal switch what not showing that it was connecting and once bypassed it ran every time but now is throwing a speed sensor fault.

So my question is this is probably an excel cart seeing the issues I'm having with a basic controller replacement. Is there anything I can do convert it over to an IQ? Also does anyone have a wiring diagram for the IQ and Excel? I'd like to look at the 16 pin connector and compare the layout and see what's going on.

Thanks in advance.

4 12s with a gen 1 pedal assembly and an mcor 2 sounds like an IQ car to me. Where's your controller? Behind the batteries on a metal panel or in between the batteries under a cover that runs down the center of the battery bucket?

Controller is between the 12 volts. I've never seen them anywhere else on an 12volt precedent.

My thinking is that nothing but the controller has been changed and all of these problems have come about after the replacement.

That is an 08.5, or older precedent. It should already be an IQ cart.

Perhaps there was nothing wrong with the Alltrax and the issue was always the MCOR micro-switch you by-passed.

If the unknown Alltrax controller was a DCX, it did not use the speed sensor so if it is plugged in perhaps it was not working at all before.

The 2008.5+ precedent originally had 12v batteries, that was the entire reason why the battery bucket was flexible and easily converted from 4x12v to 6x8v.

The battery bucket was reconfigured halfway through the 2008 model year. The controller mounting panel was moved to the rear of the battery compartment and the bucket would hold 6x8V batteries OR 4x12V batteries. The carts were available with both until the 12 volts were discontinued permanently a few years later. These cars were called the "i2" body style Precedent. The Excel system was introduced at the same time as the i2 cars. Your description of the first generation battery bucket indicates you have an 04-early 08 car, which would have to be IQ because that's the only system they offered.
