Default key switch question

can the switch be replaced or changed internally to be different so not every ez go key will work it? I just have a off/on switch, not the 3 way and I'm fine keeping it that way. I just dont want some kid taking off on it when we go camping.

EZ-Go sells a "unique" keyswitch. I'm sure one of the site sponsors carries them.

I use a Carbon Fiber bike lock around the stearing wheel and rear roof and seat mount. Cut the wheel so it will only go in a circle.

It was cheaper than a new switch.

EZ-Go sells uniquely keyed switches. That's what I bought when i replaced my two position switch to give it an accessories position.

I have a question about running accessories through the key switch. Does the key switch have the full cart pack voltage at 36 or 48v running through it or has it been stepped down?

It has 2 seperate poles one for 36/48 and the other for a 12 volt system for the lights.

The keyswitch yurtle is talking about has two sets of contacts. Battery pack voltage through on set and accessory voltage through the other.

This is for a PDS, but Series carts use same key switches.

If it is a 2 position switch on/off, it has full pack voltage. If it is a 3 position switch, there are 2 sides, full pack voltage in and out to the controller, and 12 volt in and out to the accessories.
