Yamaha g-16e cutting out occasionally

What could cause this cart to briefly cut out while running? Just brief enough you can feel it. I don't hear the solenoid dropping out, but it could be. Just wondering if anyone had similar issues. I don't want to go throwing expensive parts at it. Batteries are a month old, and charged.

following- I have a friend with this problem. All cables are good, connections are snug, batteries are good although they are getting old. I would say it only does it at full throttle but I can't say that for sure. I was leaning toward solenoid or forward/reverse switch but I don't know enough about Yamahas to be certain. I do know I have googled it a lot and have not found anything good yet. I did make sure the solenoid connections were good and did not look like they had ever gotten too hot but I have not tested it yet. Seems like it would have to be tested when the cart was actually having problems or everything would come back ok.

His cart will actually stop periodically. If you wait a minute then hit the gas it will continue on. I have not looked at the pedal switch yet.

Finally got it figured out. It turned out to be bad connection at key switch.
