Default All lights quit working

All my lights (stop lights, tail lights, headlights, turn signals) quit working. The switch was messed up, so I replaced it and they still don't work. The horn does work using the new switch. I checked the 4 fuses under the seat by the battery and all of them are good. Where else should I check?

have you checked for voltage at the switch? if so are you getting it to your lights? it could also be a faulty ground

I figured since the horn worked at the new switch, that there was power to the switch?

when you replaced the switch...did you put electric tape around the column or something between the tightening band and the column? I ask because those column mounts have a tendency to ground out through the column if not...

Headlights, horn, turn signals are probably each a separate circuit.

I didn't change anything from what was already there. No tape, or anything else, placed between the band and the column.

I'll check that this afternoon. Are the brake lights also ran thru the switch? When the switch first went bad, I still had brake lights, but even those have quit working now.

Yes, the brake lights use the same elements of the tail lights as the turn signals, so the same wire path through the turn signal switch.

Before you get too deep into tearing things down, check for 12 volt (+) and (-) at the light pig tails with the headlight switch on. Your lights are almost certainly LED, which make them polarity specific. If it isn't the EXACT same switch it could have (+) and (-) out of the switch in different wire positions - even if the plug at the switch seems the same.

Thanks. Yes, LED lights. And it's an OEM switch from my local dealer. Numbers matched the one I replaced (i checked). I'll check them at the pigtail connection under the dash this afternoon.
