I haven't been able to find out anything about the kit online. GM probably required it for the Pathway. |

Re: Dual Action Springs Install Problem
I bet that brake drum had a headache! I don't see how it wouldn't have hit the floor before that shackle did. You might want to look closely at the brake backing plate where it attaches to the axle tube. Also, check the bottom of the transaxle housing for cracks and damage to the drain plug IF yours in located on the bottom like mine is.

You’re right and the brake drum definitely hit the ground first. I’ll have to check it out when I get home. With my luck lately I probably did bust something else up with the brake hub housing. |

Re: Dual Action Springs Install Problem
Interesting, So I just install some HD Springs myself last night and ran into the issue with the stocks being too short. I also saw where with the HD Springs that shocks are not really needed in the rear. I however have adjustable leaf spring shackles and moved them to the highest point to bring my ride height down due to added leafs adding about and inch or more and the leafs as a whole riding higher. I was barely able to attach my shocks but thinking now I might have to get longer ones myself. I may just pull one and run to O'Reillys and hunt down some car shocks that'll fit as they are generally MUCH less expensive.

Once it settles in I can measure the length between the shock mounts and find one that has its center of throw close to that length. The KYB catalog has several to choose from. The KYB number might be used as a crossover reference. OEM - 8.25" 11.25" KYB 5514 - 8.74" 13.86" KYB 34317 - 8.75" 14.25" KYB 4503 - 9.53" 14.53" |

Re: Dual Action Springs Install Problem
Awesome! Thanks so much for the info, really appreciate the help. I agree also, once they settle and I actually get it loaded back up with batteries and my big butt I should have a better idea. 👍
