1977 Taylor-Dunn Tee-Bird Appraisal
I purchased my first ever golf cart last weekend, and was very surprised to find out it is a vintage 1977 Taylor-Dunn Tee-Bird.
The problem is, I have no idea what this thing is worth, how rare is it, is it better to keep it stock, or mod the hell out of it? Should I flip it for a profit and buy a more modern one... So... are these very common to find? What do you think mine would be worth if I wanted to sell it? You can see some pictures of the cart here, on my flickr account. http://www.flickr.com/photos/heigh/s...7626836363218/ |

For those who prefer to view the file locally, see attached images. These are some of the same ones from the Flickr set mentioned above, without having to link out of this site :D

So no comments after 4 days, guess this means it isn't very rare/collectible? I figured this would be a desirable model with all the metal body & heavy duty Ford 9" rear end.

It looks to be in fine condition There probably aren't many aftermarket parts for it though. What do you plan to use it for?
And welcome to BGW. |

Re: 1977 Taylor-Dunn Tee-Bird Appraisal
Dave,
Thanks for the response. It seems to run okay so far, a bit slower than I expected, and has difficulty making it up some hills, but overall seems like a good cart. I am undecided on whether it is better to: A. Sell it off as is B. Clean it up (restore), then sell it C. Modify it to a more modern condition, the sell it Ideally I'd like to get into something with a quiet gas motor, still good enough for running around at the lake on weekends, but without the re-charge requirements. Hey Ron...do you still have the cart. I just purchased one and its not working properly. Are you familiar with fixing these carts?
