Default G9 strange noise

Changed the belts on my g9, well when i slow it sounds like the differential makes a grinding moan. Not really loud, but it wasn't there until the new belt. I also tightened the generator belt pretty tight, would this effect it? I don't see how it could other than putting stress on the shaft, right? I did change the gear oil in hopes this would fix it, but it helped a only little, not changing the noise too much. I also think the cart does it when acclerating but the exhaust is to loud to hear it. Oh yes, it doesn't make any strange noises in neutral

Look the driven clutch over real well.

This sounds similar to Mac B's problem. What's up with all the rattles lately?

Our carts must have the swine flu, making everything rattle. Loll, I will look at mac's thread in hopes of getting an answer. Even if it is the driven clutch would it make the noise in neutral?

If it's moving, it can make noise.

Oh. I won't repost everything but take a look at Mac B's thread.

Yeah, i took a look. Sorry about that spriddle, I think it may be my clutch. Before i do anything i am going to loosen the generator belt a little, then if that doesn't do anything, make sure nothing is hitting the belt now. Could i have messed up the differential if i didn't put the cart in neutral when changing the belt.

No, cart doesn't have to be in neutral to change the belt but it does make it a little easier. You make sure the cart comes to a complete stop before switching from forward to reverse? Just asking because this can cause damage to the rearend.
