Default Club Car 36 volt electric no reverse

Hello everyone i am glad to have found this forum. I hope someone can help.
I have a 36 volt club car that i am trying to fix that is my dads.I have no reverse and can not find the serial number. The model number is 1012190 and this number is on the motor MT 320-08.Reverse did work until my dad cleaned the terminals and messed something up. I will post some pics later so you can see it when the weather breaks it pretty rainy here in Algood TN

Dont know what year or model 36V cart you have, but mine is/was a resistor type which means there is a bankl of coiled heavy wire loops sitting behind the batteries. My reverse feed comes from a green battery cable coming off the forward/reverse switch that gets hooked to the third batteries Positive terminal. This is the left/center battery if ya know what I mean. This gives the reverse only 18V power feed so it goes backwards slowly. Check for that and report back

Serial # on a tag where the floor meets the underside of the dash on the passenger side.... The green cable Ox refered to is red in your second pic going from the bottom of the F&R to the pos post on the 3rd battery....that is the power source for reverse

YEah check the integrity of that wire closely. If cable is good, try wiggling forward/ reverse switch while trying to go in reverse, possible bad contact?

Ok so when i put it in reverse the red wire should have at least 18 volts? I will check this let you know what i find.Should the red wire in the picture be hooked up the way it is?

Thanks

Look at the two terminals/cables coming off the bottom of MY f/r switch---the cable with the green tape stripe on it goes to the 18V positive battery post, where that red wire is on yours, I just cant tell for sure where its hooked onto your switch.
The red tape striped cable on the bottom of MY switch goes to the 48V positive battery terminal.
On mine the green is the reverse feed, the red is the forward feed. Yous is using 2 red wires it seems...just compare routing
I hope this didn't confuse you more

Alright so where should the wire for the reverse go that comes of the f/r switch.
I guess i will trace these wires down maybe my dad hooked something up wrong.
This cart is tagged and legal and thats how my dad gets around since he cannot drive a car anymore.

First check the Reverse micro switch. remove the seat bottom. with key off put the shift lever in Rev and listen for a slight click. notice the reverse position on the F&R operates a small micro switch. Put it in forward and you will hear the click. Hope this helps...print this and take it with you....good luck!
