I had a local cart shop put a new high speed motor in my Club Car precedent Excel. It works good but when i take my foot off the gas pedal it almost brakes? doesn't coast... is this normal? Thanks in advance

Regenerative braking is a normal feature of all modern carts. If it is active you feel it when the cart de-accelerates.

Based on the controller you have, your shop may be able to adjust the regen for you.

It's a Precedent Excel, but as we know, not all high speed motors are designed to work with the Excel system, very few of them actually. And there are tons of golf car shops out there who don't know this.

Put the Alltrax XCT in it - then they really are all the same.
