Cart won't charge
I have a club car ser. AA0132-048321 -------6 - 8 volt batteries that 3 different chargers won't come on to charge ( they will charge another cart ) I have read and done all of the charging system troubleshooting. I do have power when I take the red and blue wire off of the charger relay and test it so I'm guessing the OBC is ok. I reset the OBC twice and all the fuses etc. check out. I'm guessing that something is still telling the charger not to come on. I've checked the batteries one each and as a bank. The cart will run fine in forward or reverse just won't charge. Thanks for any help

Re: Cart won't charge
NoleFan4Ever I guess I’m kinda lost here. If you are getting full voltage when you test after removing the blue & red wire from the charger relay. Doesn’t that mean the OBC is ok ? Then if you attach the gray & black wire to neg. post & your charger starts doesn’t that mean your OBC is bad on the charging side ? I’ve done the relay part & got full power.

Re: Cart won't charge
It tells the relay to close as long as the proper voltage is there to close it.
You stated three (3) chargers were tried and would not come on, but worked fine on another cart. I ruled out the relay because it was in your charger and all the others did not work on your cart and they all had their own relay. Your OBC controls your charger, not the other way around. Bypass the OBC and see if it runs...... |

Re: Cart won't charge
Thanks NoleFan4Ever just one more question if I may. I’ve read where if you are bypassing to check you need to run both black & gray wire to neg. to run my old charger. If you are bypassing to run a new no OBC battery charger you only need to run the black to neg. If I run both black & gray can I leave it like that if I get the new charger. Thanks again

Re: Cart won't charge
I would not. Its just another wire to get confused or have an issue with. And if you are going to do a permanent bypass for another charger, you may want to run the Neg back to B- at the controller to keep it out the battery area. Up to you......
