Default Custom Precedent build

Since this is such a unique build we thought we would share it with our BGW family. This is a real time build and may not going together the fastest but will be done within a month or so as this is our customers timeline. The customers that we are building this cart for are very particular with every element of the cart. The cart is being used at their resort vacation home and it's prime use is to bring people and equipment from the house down to the boat. They are in a gated community which has them perched high on a mountain side with a private boat marina and beach below. So until now they had to use their vehicle for this task (currently we have given them a loner cart to do the job as we build their new cart)

Hope you enjoy the build process as we go along!

We have started out with a 2009 CC Precedent, and tore it down to the frame, we then sent the frame off to be media blasted, just to clean the oxidization and such off of it. Media blasting gives us such a nice product to work with!

We received the chassis back from media blasting and then began to assemble it. Each piece that we re install on the cart is either being completely refurbished (sanded and painted, new bushings etc...) or been replaced. The end result will be virtually a brand new cart.

Some more assembly of the stock components. We are now currently waiting for the suspension components so that we can get the lift in and get this sitting up on it's wheels, then from there we can work on proper body spacing.

(please excuse the mess of the shop, we have just recently sold a couple of our manufacturing businesses and are in the midst of building a new facility for the golf carts only, and will be selling this current large facility as it is not needed for the carts. So things are a bit of a mess at this time but we are working through it)

Well some goodies arrived today so we were able to continue on with the build. We started by installing the hd rear leafs, we use our motorcycle jack to lift the cart to the right height. It also allows us to lower the cart down onto the rear end once it is in position. We installed a 3" lift kit as well.

As mentioned before we lowered the cart frame down onto the rear end with the motorcycle jack, and then we moved onto the front of the cart installing the 3" drop spindles. We then installed the freshly sanded and painted rear drums. We then moved onto the installation of the wheels.

Well, an interesting turn of events. Here's where we got to until our customer has decided they would prefer a DS cart. They want the more square look of the cart. So this cart will be set aside and we will start the process over with a DS, check back for the progress as we start fresh again.
