Default Accessory Battery A.h.?

Hey guys,

I'm looking to run a small battery for my headlights and tails. I was wondering what size batteries people are using and what is a good amount of amp hours to run?

thanks

any reason for the extra battery to run lights? why not just run right off pack? the price you pay for the extra battery and a charger you can get a good quailty C.C. voltage reducer...........................

If we were to ballpark your usage as 2 x 50 watt head lights and 20 watts for some nice led tail lights, there is 120 watts which divided by 12 volts gives 10 amps. If you ran them for ten hours until the battery was drained flat (not really recommended) you would need a 100Ah battery.
I would concur with Shadowman that you would be better off with a nice voltage dropper that can handle 10 Amps. Here is one of the many available.
