kf82 headache
Sorry , I couldn't seem to reply any other way. I was logged in and trying to reply within that thread, but it said I wasn't .
ANy way get yourself a rebuild kit. Rod, crank, bearings, I think it has piston and all. I didn't get one, and tried just replacing the rod, and the knock was back in 20 minutes. depends how you want to spend your money I guess, I got ripped off, I didn't know anything about them, and the guy said it was the clutch making the noise. I paid 900, 100 for some tires, rod was about 100. I also lifted it 2 or 3 inches. Turned out pretty neat, but I wasn't gonna pay 4 or 5 hundred more to do the motor. sold it 700. Bought a '97 ezgo gas. It would have probably run forever with the knock but I wanted it for golf. too loud. |

Re: kf82 headache
Tim, thanks for the reply. I did the same thing ,i put a 6 inch a-arm lift on it with tires and wheels.(It looks cool but the heavy duty lift kit is too stiff).I agee, its hard to focus on your game when your listening to that horrible knocking from hole to hole.I'm thinking the same thing,is it worth spending more money.I don't know what i'm going to do.
Thanks for the advice! Steve |
