Default idler arm

how do you get the long rod out of the idler arm ? i tried but could not get it to move. mine is a 94.

on the 94 there is a vertical arm that connects the stering rack to the center link. the rack connects to the top and lower arm connects to the rt spindle arm. sorry no picture. but i am waiting for my clutch for the briggs so i thought i would try to put new brass bushings in the idler arm.thank again for your help.

no i tried but the pin that runs from the top to the bottom did not move and cant see where you can get to the top to punch it out.

The parts diagram only shows one cotter pin at the bottom...... nothing else
