84 2PG RPM Issue
1989 EZGO 2 PG
converted ignition to GM HEI and Resistor Coil Electric Fuel Pump New clutches last year OK, Last fall my 2pg lost compression. So, I put it up due to part availability issues. I get it out this spring and replace the top end (piston, rings, jug, and gaskets). Now it starts fine but wont rev high enough to engage the clutch. I have cleaned the carb, checked the reed valve and even went so far as pulling the motor back apart to see if I put the piston on backwards. What am I missing? |

Re: 84 2PG RPM Issue
If it doesn't rev high enough to engage the clutches, it's not running. See if the exhaust gets hoi.
