98 48v stops dead after about 50 yds, new batts
Club car goes about 50 yds and then dies for no reason. Batteries are new and fully charged. Jacked up rear and pressed accelerator, nothing. Checked all electrical connections. No broken or bare wires. All connections seem fine. On a hunch, turned one of the rear wheels by hand one or two times. Pressed accelerator and cart runs fine. Took it back out and same thing happened after about 100 yds. Put cart in tow, pushed it forward a few feet, placed back in run and bam, cart working again until I drove it about 40 yds. Any ideas out there as what may be causing this? Thanks in advance.

Unless a controller issue, the next thing I would think would be motor brushes. Could also be a failing solenoid or a plethora of other things. Best this is the next time it does it have your meter with you and start checking the circuitry to see where you have lost power.
That is a Regen 2 cart. |
