Default Yamaha G1 Throttle linkage

Before I take everything apart and break something ...is the throttle linkage (plastic) linkage available? I searched some parts sites but nothing was obvious... I have a lot of free play... are these standard threads? Are the plastic head diameters the same as my old VW?

You can eliminate all that factory linkage garbage and run the cable straight from the governor to the carb. You'll get better throttle action. If you do this, you'll have to wire the exhaust butterfly open or remove it.
