I bought the MSD, the carb kit and all but the blower from Fred. It all bolts on. You don't cut a cable or anything. It's awesome. He has helped me with some things and I am always amazed at the work. They welded up a 295 head and put in huge ports. I'm not stealing the show. Fred deserves credit for his low key way of making things FAST. This is a test head he built...
The spark plugs had to be sized down because the ports are in the way. I think this porting is way beyond the imagination of most. I looked at that for a long time....
It runs rich and that is for tomorrow. It hauls a$$ too! Thanks Fred

Fred has said to me that the stock rods and cranks are fine when assembled properly...what needs attention is the cylinder heads. I think the proof is right in front of us. Most people aren't going to twist these things 8K. You dont need 8K to make everyday usable power. Most guys want "usable" power or that seat of the pants feel when accelerating. That comes from low to mid-upper RPM.

Fred is kind of low key. He recently built twin, 582 cu in blown chevy engines for a large speed boat. Probably the cigarette type, I'm not sure. It clocked 182 MPH on Kake Havasu. That is HAULIN some a##. That's 1-8-2 on water!. He can do it all.

No, what is really impressive is what I usually build. Golf carts are just a sideline.

This boat with two 582 BBC engines went 182 mph!
