Re: The Original Blown Golf cart
Glad to see there is so much interest in the superchargers. I designed and built (with a little help from my friends) the blower to specifically fit a 295/350 EZ-GO engine. Right now as the kit comes it is 30% over driven and will make about 10 lbs boost. I have experimented with more and have made as much as 16 lbs. 10-12 seems to be the sweet spot where it runs the best without over speeding the blower. When I designed the kit I made it so everything bolts on without any other mods to the cart. No holes to drill, nothing to modify on the cart at all. It sure makes installing one easy! The kit comes with EVERYTHING needed for the changeover. I have never dyno'd one of these but everyone that drives it says it runs pretty good.
After I did the blowers there was a need for other stuff like the MSD ign. I had to come up with a good way to delete the factory rev limiter and had a 6A MSD box so that's how it works. The next step was clutch tuning and an aluminum billet flywheel to help it rev faster. Possibly more mods to come! Let me know if you have any specific questions or need more info. Fred |
