I almost forgot to add, when I lowered my cart I cut 3/4'' off both sides of the steering shaft (so it doesn't bottom out when theres weight on the cart) and I ground down the inside edges of the u-joints on the shafts ends (so it doesn't bind when lowered).

When I lowered the rear, the brake cables were rubbing on the inside of the back wheels and the leaf springs were pushing them down, so I rerouted them above the leafs.

Just some advise to those planning on doing this in the future.

Hotcat,
Been tied up and missed seeing this post. Looking good so far, keep the pics coming. Just a note, if you cut the steering down, you might have to run some sort of a limiting strap to keep from over extending your front end and pulling the steering shaft apart. With max lift, mine almost comes apart. Just something to think about. Keep up the good work!

Whats up Monkey, I seen your trying to get rid of your cart

I thought about that with the shaft but I dont plan on going that high up and I only cut off 3/4'' just to be safe

I just installed my wheels today, I will get pics this weekend

After searching for a good LED dome light I decided to go with these

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/5-12V...1%7C240%3A1318

The prices for an actual LED dome light in the size I needed were crazy, plus I can place these in an x pattern under the roof with 1 in the center to give me light through out.

I wanna wire them to my alarm system so I have illuminated entry

UPDATE......

I finally had some time this weekend to get some parts installed and take pics.

Parts installed include...

SS112 wheels with positive offset and low profile tires
Wheel locks
Silver E-Z-GO front emblem
Head light kit with LED tail lights from East Coast Custom Golf Carts
Custom head lights with blue lens installed in stock bezels
Hyper white H3 light bulbs
12V Automotive battery with tray and tie down (for my 12V accessories)

Yesterday as me and the wife were walking through Walmart I stopped by the automotive lighting section to look for some head lights I can upgrade to, I found exactly what I was looking for except they had blue lenses, I decided to by them anyway and try them out, If I didn't like them I could always return them.

I rush home, take apart my lights and installed the new ones, I was a little disappointed at first cause they didn't carry the same lights with clear lenses Now after looking at them for awhile, I think they are growing on me and I'm starting to like them

Give me some honest opinions on the head lamps good/bad, I wanted to be different and I think I got it. I found someone on E-Bay selling the same lights but with clear lenses, I can still return the blue ones and get clear.

I plan on changing out the head light bulbs to H3 LEDs and the front marker lights to clear lens with amber LED lights to save on power

I could have got the LED light pods with a white housing but got them in black for when I paint my top.
