Default Gasket leaking

Looks like this is a gear oil leak. Is it usually the gasket or a seal that causes the gear oil to leak out?

Since it's damp & clumping from higher up, I'm going to guess the input shaft seal - where the motor mounts to the dif. If you open that up make sure you don't have worn bearings along that input shaft that may be allowing the shaft to "wobble" a bit and wallow out the seal.

Looks like it comes from a leaking input shaft seal. Pull the motor and you'll see.

I will have to pull the motor I guess. This one is pretty old anything else needs to be replaced routinely? This is my first electric gc. Not even sure if this is a g19 or 22.

BuggiesUnlimited has very, very few yamaha parts, but they do have a lot of low quality chinese junk that may, or may not fit on a yamaha. For real yamaha parts call Don Plowman (www.plowmanscarts.com).
