Thanks for the reply.

I ordered a pair from Amazon and look forward to trying them. I'll report my findings.

I'm not 100% Sold on them but they do make a huge difference compared to the stock ones

Mileskeller, I'm assuming these are the shocks.

Also.....can you explain what you mean when you say "I'm not quite sold on 'em"? You don't like them for what reason?

Thanks!!

The stock coilovers are so soft I built a bracket that extends outward so they can stand more vertical and have less leverage applied from the A-arm. The cart handles like a boat if the coilovers are placed in the "normal" position.

I have the villager 8 and the Jake shocks have just never rode great and they can't handle the weight. The amazon ones are way better ride but the rubber bushings don't seem the greatest quality. But for 100 bucks what can you expect. I bought these for the time being so I can find a more suitable coilover for the weight

Every cart is different. They use the same shocks in all the kits, so the "one size fits all" doesn't really make sense. I wish Jakes offered different sized springs so you could dial in the ride. You could measure the springs and check with "Dennis Kirk" for replacement springs. They do come apart farily easily, and those springs are fairly similar to atv, motorcycle, and utv springs that are readily available and are affordable.

The Jake's coilovers are soft. I haven't received the new coilovers yet.

Here are the Yamaha Viking UTV shocks. They are 17" eye to eye, the springs are 3/8" diameter coil. Ok my Yamaha G1 they were just slightly too stiff. They are KYB made in the USA 🇺🇸, excellent quality shocks. They are from a 2014 model with just over 500 miles on it. $50 for the pair, plus actual shipping.
